A native San Diegan brought up in Hillcrest in the 1950's at a time when as a kid we could run through the canyons of Balboa Park, walk to school a mile away and go to the San Diego Zoo for free. My first job was as a reporter for UPI in Providence, Rhode Island in the late 1960's. Went to graduate school for a Masters in History. Started at UCSD in 1974 and moved into non-clinical education/training at UCSD Medical Center in 1975, back for a Masters in Education from SDSU, and then on to UCSD Extension to oversee Healthcare and Behavioral Sciences Education in 1995. Delighted to be part of JDP8!
